Your checklist for relocating.

Moving, many a plan fails, you just cant expect to have the relocation go smoothly. Plan , When we say plan your relocation the hint here is to plan in your way that you best understand.
Some may do a spread sheet , some just work off some notes . Do what is simple for you. |

When moving house a check list is a great idea to keep track of you removal
plans.
Six to eight weeks before move
- clean up sell/give away unwanted items
- start running down food items keep a list of the addresses on incoming
mail
- advise doctor, dentist, and so on book travel arrangements
Two to three weeks before
- plan when to pack things, larger boxes for lighter objects,
smaller for light
- Label clearly and from what room you have packed items
- Keep up to date with your washing and ironing .
- keep essential items not to be packed separate such as books or glassware
- Anything Fragile mark now do not leave it for later.
- wrap china and glass in white paper (newspaper separate items for packing
now or later
smudges) and line boxes with bubble wrap list items in each box in a notebook
- Arrange for friends and family to help you on the big day
The last seven days
- Redirect mail mail and finalize accounts cut off phone and electricity etc
- This is important; CONFIRM Relocation specialists and the quote
- Think about incidental items e.g dry cleaning , library books neighbors
borrowed tools. Paper deliveries
- Organize the connection of services to where you are going so there is no
delay when you arrive.
last days
- Clean up. use this time to unwind now, make sure you have your essentials
somewhere and not packed at this point. Go and say goodbye to neighbors and
friends just keep reiterating what you should have done again if you
think of it do it now not tomorrow . When moving house your brain will take
six different directions in a matter of minutes.
Last day
- Pack you car, make certain all is ok with pets. (This should have been
taken care of days ago)
- If you have children make them feel relaxed about the move . In all keep
calm and relaxed this is going to be a long day or week depending on the move.
